Lesson #6

Before the lesson we noticed you over swinging which had a big impact on face awareness and shaft pitch in transition aka club face and club path. This also contributed to very inconsistent ball first contact and direction issues.

From this angle we can see the legs sliding way out ahead of your arms which makes you have to stall your rotation and get really handsy at the bottom of the swing.

We worked on half shots with a headcover under your right armpit. This forced you to keep your swing shorter and more compact which lead to a much more stable club face through impact. Notice your impact position and how your arms are staying in front of your chest through the shot. The legs also did not slide too far forward because this is a half shot. We also noticed an immediate difference when you started taking a wider stance.

Great stuff in this lesson. When you practice I want you to hit the majority of your range balls with the headcover under your right armpit and only swing between 50% and 75% speed. Remember to take a wider stance and keep those arms in front of your chest through the hitting zone.
