Here are 2 great videos for you Seth. Nick Faldo has some great ideas for improving tempo while Russell has, what I thought to be, a neat explanation of why people swing from over the top.

Pre-shot routine:

  1. Asses lie, wind, slope, weather

  2. Select shot and target

  3. Re-hearse the swing and visualize the shot

  4. Pick spot 6 inches in front of ball that is in line with your target to aim clubface.

  5. Start deep and long inhale and exhale as you walk into shot.

  6. Take 1 more deep and long inhale and exhale as you settle into your stance and waggle tension out until you have a mentally clear image of the target.

  7. Go!

  8. Stay smooth with focus on visual of clubhead staying low and down through the ball
